JobAdys

About the Project

JobAdys is a web platform I created as my Maturitná práca, the final graduation project of my secondary education in Slovakia. The idea behind the project was based on a practical problem I saw among students and beginning developers: many entry-level opportunities expect previous experience, while newcomers often have no real projects with which to build that experience or demonstrate their abilities. I designed JobAdys as a social-network-style project platform focused on practical work and portfolio development. The platform separates users into two main roles. Submitters can publish tasks or projects and describe what needs to be completed, while Performers can present their skills, browse available opportunities and apply for projects that match their interests and abilities. The goal is to create a bridge between people who need smaller projects completed and beginners who need meaningful real-world practice. The public JobAdys website explains a complete project workflow: users create an account and profile, browse or publish projects, submit proposals, communicate during the work process and confirm completion after the result is delivered. The concept also includes built-in messaging so a Submitter and Performer can clarify requirements and stay in contact while a project is in progress. This makes the application more than a static job board; it is designed around user accounts, profiles, project interaction and collaboration. Another important part of the project is the focus on beginners. JobAdys is intended for students, aspiring freelancers, career changers and other people who need a first opportunity to gain practical experience. Instead of concentrating only on traditional employment, the platform uses project-based work as a way to develop technical skills, communication, time management and client collaboration while creating material that can later become part of a professional portfolio. The project also contains public informational pages describing the platform, its mission, usage process, user responsibilities, privacy and security principles, and terms of use. Authentication screens are provided for account access, and the public interface includes clear navigation toward registration, sign-in and project discovery. The platform intentionally does not include its own payment system; any compensation between participants is handled outside JobAdys. I developed JobAdys with Next.js and deployed the live project on Vercel. Building it as a Maturitná práca gave me experience not only with creating individual pages, but with planning a larger web application around multiple user roles, authentication, user flows, project-based interactions and a consistent product concept. The final result is a working educational project that demonstrates how a web application can connect newcomers with practical opportunities and help them take their first steps toward professional experience.

My Role

I conceived, designed and developed JobAdys as my Maturitná práca in Slovakia. My work covered the product concept, information architecture, user roles, authentication and account flows, public pages, project-oriented interaction design, responsive interface development, application structure and deployment of the live project.

What I Did
